Parton's own creation. "I wanted to recreate the

Alabama Theatre
- In 1993, country music stars ALABAMA had a
desire to return to their musical roots in
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina . Here is where
they honed and nurtured their talent and
impressive three-part harmonies while playing at
The Bowery, a local night club, for tips.
Wanting to bring a unique perspective to the
existing entertainment industry currently on the
"Grand Strand", The Alabama Theatre was born.
With Gaylord on board, The Alabama Theatre
continued its mission of building one of the
finest entertainment venues on the East Coast.
The theatre design started from the inside out
and was dictated by the technical aspirations of
Alabama. Only the finest state-of-the-art
equipment would do. |
